My passion is helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve peace of mind by developing and implementing creative, customized, and yet cost-effective plans. As part of my goal-oriented estate planning process, I first seek to understand your goals and needs. My advice focuses on how your estate planning documents advance your goals.  I use plain English and easy to understand visual aids, so you know what you need to do in order ensure that your plan works the way you intend. My personal mission is to make estate planning as accessible, efficient and streamlined as possible so that individuals, families, and business owners are motivated to express their estate planning goals, and families and business partners do not have to deal with the disastrous fallout from a lack of planning.

In addition to creating estate plans, I work in the probate arena and assists families in implementing plans when loved ones pass away, individuals with special needs, and individuals who can no longer manage their own affairs. I treat my clients like family, protecting their interests as if they were my own, and making sound recommendations to help them accomplish their planning goals. I believe that effective estate planning is critical to the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of my clients, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the process.

Corey prides himself on minimizing or avoiding the nightmare of probate and, most significantly, to deliver well-crafted Estate Plans to clients based upon their lifestyles, professions and specific needs for their situation. Corey has years of experience working in Estate Planning, Business Succession Planning, Probate & Trust Administration, Asset Protection Planning and developing client relationships. Corey works with financial advisors, CPA’s and other professionals to help meet the needs of his clients. He is also known as a valuable resource for continuing education, informative and education seminars and has been a guest speaker on these topics including being a guest speaker on KMBZ and NPR.   He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa School of Law emphasizing in Estate Planning. He also holds undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance, as well as a Master’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University. He also has a minor in Economics from Kansas State University.

“Excellent service based on expert knowledge. Working with Corey was fantastic. My wife and I were setting up a new business, and needed to have a complete estate plan established. Corey not only covered the basics, but included important protections for our children’s future that I never would have thought of. He also made sure we understood how to use the information in order to update other assets like life insurance. I have recommended Corey to several of my friends, and will continue to do so without reservation.” – Tim (Belton, MO)

“I recommend Corey Rasmussen. Corey handled my Trusts matter. I have previously worked with 1-2 lawyers. Corey, was great. He went above and beyond my expectations. He came to our house to provide services (more than once). He was very patient and helpful to me. He actually sorted my mail related to our business! He was easy to talk to and explained things at a level that was understandable to us.” – Tammy (Lawrence, KS)

“Excellent Attorney for Wills and Trusts. Corey helped us revise and update our trust and wills. He showed great interest in us and was extremely thorough. Corey spent considerable time explaining the whole process. We believe he is an excellent attorney and would recommend him to anyone needing help revising or creating a trust.” – Connie (St. Joseph, MO)
